Viktor Haase

Viktor Haase has been Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Traffic in NRW since 30 June 2022. From 2014 to 2022 he led Department VIII, “Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Environmental Economics.” He worked as an advisor in NRW’s Environment Ministry starting in 2004. Since 2010 he has headed the Minister’s Office. A biologist by training, he conducted ecological research for Alliance 90/The Greens in NRW from 1997–2004 and 2007–2010.
