As a business and trade association, the IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. aims to keep the scope for action of the industry with its 90,000 employees open while safeguarding social interests and securing markets. The IK is a specialist contact, service provider and think tank for its approximately 300 members. The association aims to actively drive and support the transformation of the industry towards a circular economy. The IK sees itself as the relevant voice of the German plastics packaging industry – primarily in Germany, but also at European level.
