MechSyn is a deep-tech spin-off from the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, focused on industrial applications of mechanochemistry, enabling chemical reactions through mechanical force instead of high temperatures and solvents. This approach significantly reduces energy consumption, process time, and environmental impact compared to conventional synthesis routes. In addition to sustainable production of high-performance materials, MechSyn advances mechanochemical recycling, offering efficient solutions to degrade toxic waste and to recover valuable materials from complex waste streams.
