koala is a Green Chemistry network advancing circular innovation in the chemical industry. Initiated by the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion and the RWTH Aachen University, koala connects research, startups and industry to translate scientific excellence into real-world applications. With a strong focus on collaboration, entrepreneurship and education, koala empowers researchers to develop scalable and sustainable solutions. A key element of the ecosystem is the QuinCAT incubator, supporting early-stage, research-based startups with infrastructure, mentoring and access to industry networks. Rooted in North Rhine-Westphalia and internationally connected, koala accelerates circular solutions across the chemical value chain.
