STRUCTURELAB Architekten is an architecture and urban planning practice with a focus on circular transformation of existing buildings — conversion instead of demolition. We develop concepts for adaptive reuse, vertical extensions, and densification, and design timber and timber-hybrid structures as well as modular systems in a way that components remain separable, demountable, and reusable.

CO₂ assessments and life cycle analyses are integrated at an early stage into the design process, material selection, and construction logic. Climate risks such as heat, heavy rainfall, and noise are translated into flexible, user-centered spaces, green infrastructure, and water retention strategies — context-sensitive from the building scale to the neighborhood level.

We understand architecture as social infrastructure: practical, healthy, and community-oriented. For us, circularity means fewer bespoke solutions and more standardization — as a scalable and reliable contribution to a resilient future.
