Bearhug is developing automated machinery to replace the use of plastic stretch film with reusable pallet wrapping. Today, securing a pallet typically uses about 350g of plastic film, and at global scale this single product is estimated to contribute ~1.5% of global plastic waste. Bearhug’s machinery is on track to wrap pallets in reusable wrapping 2× faster than they can be wrapped in plastic film. The result is a practical, scalable way for warehouses to cut plastic without slowing operations or increasing cost.
